Have you ever felt trapped, helpless almost as if you left a certain place you would die? Well for those of you who haven’t, it’s something so mortifyingly frightening that you couldn’t even hope to understand or imagine those who have had to deal, or are dealing with this fear.
Agoraphobic: One who has a fear of public places, fear of leaving a safe place.
Nestled in serenity between a single large clump of mountains, are the lands of Equus Callabus, and in it lives a single herd of mustangs. These horses have been born and bred here, remaining completely isolated and untouched from the outside world. Though this doesn’t seem to bother the inhabitants of the area, but why doesn’t it? Is there really such a strong reason to want to shut out the world? Fear can make anyone do anything, it can drive them into the depths of insanity and perhaps these horses would be considered somewhere between abnormal and insane to an outsider.
The thought of leaving their precious lands had never really crossed their minds until it was attempted but only once. As the story goes, this dense horse attempted to travel the distance and ascend upwards to escape. Whether it was of natural causes, or what the others claim the unmentionables, this vagabond did not make it to the other side alive. Despite others beliefs, the leaders of the herd did believe that it was not just the bitter cold that killed the drifter, it was something much more dangerous than snow covered with thick ice – these things that they claimed were responsible were labeled simply as the unmentionables and they were not to be mentioned.
The balance between this herd and the ‘unmentionables’ is considered sacred, and the inhabitants of these lands will go to great lengths to maintain such a balance. They have all become so accustomed to their own way of life and to them, the outside world itself ceases to exist for any of the residents. Some of these horses do at times find themselves wondering what goes on but these thoughts are never voiced for they will be dealt with by punishments that are a bit extreme. All of these horses are agoraphobics, some worse than others, and they fear nothing but leaving their safe place – the lands of Equus Callabus.

Blossoming Thicket Another land truly blessed, like so many of the other lands in Equus - this one is beautiful as well. Upon first entering this thicket, one cannot be sure what to think judging by the scattered pink blossoms blooming here and there - but as they travel deeper into the forest, they discover the larger patch of those same blossoms. The area in which the large patch grows, is also where the true heart of the lands is. No one is particularly sure how the once barren, twig scattered lands bloomed into such an enchanting place - or how the blossoms arrived, but it is rarely questioned now. In certain areas these lands can be difficult to navigate simply because of the fact that it is a thicket - and is therefore thick with trees. These trees very in colors, and sizes - many are extremely tall and have large drooping canopies that help to block out some of the mild sun while others are meager little shrubs that protrude a mere six or seven feet from the ground. There are absolutely no predators here, ever, and this is the one place in Equus that is considered to be completely safe - a perfect playground for any curious filly or colt. But be careful to stray too far, the hollow lies just to the west. Moderator: »ZeRo™
Ominous Hollow To the east of the heartland of Equus, lies the forest. This forest doesn't have a particular name because there are different parts of it with their own. One such place, that is less traveled and more secluded than the others is Ominous Hollow. It is a single narrow, straight path that is surrounded by idealistic rows of trees that are just tall enough to envelope over the clearing and block out the sun slightly. All in all, this place is creepy and is hardly a good place for any sort of romantic stroll, unless you are demented. It is said that while walking in these lands, you can hear the whispers of the unmentionables and the closer you get to their lands the more narrow, darker, and the louder the whispers become. No one has ever braved against the odds to go further into the woods and it is not advised at all, you will not be considered a hero if you do try it - instead, it will have the opposite effect. The village idiot. Despite these lands rather menacing look at first glance, many find peace in these lands and are somewhat comforted by the mystery of the ones who live within. In these lands predators are scarce, but you are constantly watched by the unmentionables as you walk through these woods - and can almost feel their eyes on you... Moderator: »ZeRo™
Crimson Meadow Over the years, many battles have been fought on these lands and supposedly that is the reason why there are so many red flowers scattered about the area. None can really explain why there is an uneven three foot stone wall towards the perimeter of the land, but perhaps it is used as a barrier - to allow the two participants of a fight to be aware of where their boundaries are. These lands lie to the far southeast of the lands, treacherously close to the borders and to some it is referred to as the end of the world. However, these lands are not as bad as they seem and from time to time, Zero may call a meeting here if necessary, due to the over abundance of space. Anyone is free to roam these lands, fighting or not but do not venture past the wall. Scattered trees lie around this area, and there is lush grass here and there but be careful where you eat. Picture Perfect This place is only visited by Zero and those who he shows it to or those who happen across it, and it is for a good reason as well. These lands require the difficult ascent up the face of a mountain, and into the unmentionables territory to get to them - and somehow Zero is the only one who has managed to get away with crossing over into foreign land not just once by mistake, but quite often. Towards the end of the climb, the hill flattens out and juts out from the side of the mountain into a half bridge like structure. From this bridge, one can see everything in the lands of Equus, including the vibrant colors of the trees and even the waterfall on the opposite side of the lands if they have good vision. None have ever managed to make the climb to these lands besides Zero more than once, because the mountain becomes increasingly more difficult to climb as time passes if you don't know the exact path. These lands are kept close to his heart and any trespassers can expect to be scolded for coming here without permission or an invite because of the effect their visit may have on the balance, but this doesn't stop them from trying anyway. Travesty Delight Truly a delightful place to be, Travesty is the less visited of the lands of Equus simple because it is difficult to get to unless you know the path. Fillies and colts, however, have no problem finding these lands because of their imaginative minds, but adults do not have the same luxury. Only the ones who know the path to this place can get there because unless shown, the path is not visible to the naked eye. Though it is a difficult place to get to, it is certainly worth it. In the autumn, the leaves surrounding the area turn into brilliant shades of red, yellow, and orange which pushes the beauty of this land to a breaking point. A river runs from the opposite side of the mountains that Equus is on, through the center of the mountains itself. It is this very same river that flows from the mouth of a cave high above the tree-tops. The water drops of into a complete ninety degree angle into a pool lined with bright indigo topaz, these rocks cause the water to give off a bit of a glowing effect at night. This is not a safe place to young ones to be alone, for it is dangerously close to the outskirts of the herd lands, and is only a few feet away from invading the unmentionables territory. Don't wander too far. Moderator: »ZeRo™

Velvet Hills Paradise is not a strong enough word to describe these lands. The hills lie just to the west of the crimson meadow. The grasses here are extremely abundant and rich, despite the fact that they have been ripped up and eaten countless times. Trees lie on the outskirts of the hills and many are scattered within the lands to provide protection from the warmth of the sun. These lands are not quite as close to the borders as the crimson meadows are, and wandering is safe to an extent. An underground spring is located in these lands, which also managed to form a pretty decently sized river that runs down the center of the hills to provide nourishment not only to the grass, but to the inhabitants as well. Predators are not often seen here but it is not unheard of, so mothers keep a watchful eye on your babies. Moderator: »ZeRo™
